Old Farts Parts is an online store selling lots of older, preloved, good used, call them what you like, spare parts for lots of older engines like Perkins, Lister, Kubota, Ford Industrial and some Marine Engines.

It is the result of a “Perfect Storm” in the world of Geoff Walsh.  A few years ago now, (11 and a bit, actually) Geoff sold his business, Geoff Walsh Engine Parts to his daughter Shelley, and her husband Chris.  They have continued to grow and develop the business over these years which has now morphed into GW Industrial and is focused on servicing the Farming, Mining and Construction industries in our region.

Over these 11 and a bit years, though formally retired, Geoff continued to come into work nearly everyday, offering the team his years of experience and wealth of knowledge.

Then, without warning, last year (2017) Geoff had a heart attack, and was flown by rescue helicopter to Townsville to have triple bypass surgery.  With some amazing medical and surgical expertise, he is now back to excellent health and feeling better than ever. 

However, the girls at the shop suggested—or rather strongly recommended –that now that he is past the three score and ten years age mark, he should start to slow down to a gallop.

So you put together, a man who needs to retire, a shed full of parts, and a Daughter who know he needs to be kept busy and out of trouble, and you get OLD FARTS PARTS!

Years of collecting (yes, hoarding!!) have resulted in copious quantities of older bits and pieces that have been lovingly stored in Geoff’s Shed on his 12 acres.  and apparently a heart attack is as good a reason as any to have a shed cleanout and rearrange.

We have sorted out the good stuff, photographed it, labelled it and have it on our website for all the world to see and to sell it to people in need of older bits and pieces.

The collection is by no means complete and will continue to be updated every week until there are no more Old Farts Parts left in the world.
